How we obtain your personal information and why we have it
The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reasons:
- So we may admit you as a member to the club
- So we may inform you about changes to your membership
- So we may inform you about club events
We use the information that you have given us only in order to communicate with you.
We may share this information with Harlequins Rugby Club for the purpose of accessing their social facilities if they require and WPA hold all information as per their membership application form which is covered separately by their WPA privacy policy.
We may also share this information with other members for the purposes of communication during competitions, social events etc.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. If you do remove your consent your membership of Cardiff Harlequins Petanque Club will cease.

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored electronically.
We keep your information whilst you are a member of the club . If you cease to be a member, we will then dispose of your information by deleting any online copies of your data and deleting any hard copies within 6 months.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
