Pétanque or boules is a sport where players or teams play their boules towards a target ball called a cochonnet, usually known as a coche.

The objective: to score points by having more boules closer to the coche than your opponent, each boule closer earns you 1 point. The winner is the first to 13 points.

The game is usually played on hard dirt or gravel.

All members and any non-member guests playing at the piste must familiarise themselves with our code of conduct, which we expect everyone to adhere to. This is to facilitate the safe enjoyment of the game for all players.

If you are new to the game, please don’t worry about buying boules initially. We have a number which can be borrowed until you find the size and weight that suits you.
